Located in the Nagambie Lakes region of central Victoria and with a history dating back to the 1860's, Tahbilk has long been considered one of Australia's most historic family owned wineries.
Tahbilk Shiraz is a remarkably consistent performer which has seen it establish itself as one of Australia's popular red wines and the 2017 vintage is again in great form. Plenty of typical spicy red fruits, blueberries and blackberries aromas on the nose, while the palate offers ample plum and blackberry fruits. A flavoursome, medium-bodied red wine from Tahbilk, this is sure to offer plenty of joy over the coming decade.
“93 Points. Dark red with garnet hues. This is fresh and lively with blackcurrant and plum to the fore, spice from oak maturation later, and in complete balance. Tannins are ripe and fruit based too, infusing a nice cherry pip character to the medium-bodied flow of the wines. Drink now or hold for medium term.” - David Bicknell, winecompanion.com.au
