Toolangi has long been regarded as one of the Yarra Valley's finest wineries, with the wines continuing to reach impressive heights under chief winemaker Kaspar Hermann. Hermann's 'site-first' approach allows the vintage and place to dictate rather than forcing a particular style.
The 2023 vintage at Toolangi was another in a string of low-yielding vintages. Thankfully, the lack in quantity was more than recouped in quality, and the wines are marked by vibrancy, pure flavours and textural finesse. The 2023 Toolangi Pinot Noir is another terrific value Yarra Pinot with loads of lip-smacking red cherry and juicy raspberry flavours. Finishing with subtle spice, bright acidity and supple tannins, this is a highly gluggable wine that's pretty hard to resist at this price.
