"What a bargain" - Gary Walsh
One of the Barossa Valley's finest wineries, Turkey Flat have been in recent red hot form even by their lofty standards. The Turkey Flat Butchers Block Red has established itself as one of Australia's most reliable and best value red wines; the 2018 vintage release is again cracker.
A classic Barossa blend of Shiraz, Grenache and Mataro, the 2018 Turkey Flat Butchers Block Red is medium-bodied Barossa red wine with loads of red and black berries fruit flavours, accompanied by layers of spice, dark and cassis notes. Soft and delicious, this offers the great drinkability and value for money this wine has become famous for.
"94 Points. Dark cherries, black raspberry, liquorice and spice. Full of flavour, but less than full-bodied, chocolate, earth and spice, succulence and depth, fine almost brick dust tannin, a bit of a ‘mineral’ feel, and very good length. Something like black forest cake flavour in the aftertaste, and other things too, of course. What a bargain. Tasted: Oct19 14.2% alc. $22 Screwcap Drink: 2019 - 2028+" - Gary Walsh, The Wine Front.
