The 2021 Voyager Estate The Modern Cabernet Sauvignon is a classic blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (86%) and Merlot (14%). Sourced from three plots in Margaret River, from vineyards planted on gravelly soils and farmed under an organic regime.
Designed to showcase the organically farmed vineyards in a contemporary, fresh style. An aromatic, medium-bodied Margaret River Cabernet, this is bursting with red and dark fruit flavours which makes it pretty irresistible as a drink-now proposition. With subtle complexity and a lovely tannin profile, this will no doubt age gracefully for the more patient among us.
"95 Points. First poured, a ghastly apparition appeared - as if this had been placed in a corset and cinched tight. In a vinous sense, that means decanting or letting this beauty breathe in the glass. It has all the varietal appeal of Margs: its shapely tannins, supple and ever-so-slightly grainy and its savouriness.
