The 2023 Wild Duck Creek Springflat Shiraz is made from a blend of 5 distinct estate grown vineyards throughout Heathcote region. The parcels of fruit are made separately, utilising a small amount of whole bunches in the ferments for added texture. Hand plunged, basket pressed and then matured in French and American oak hogsheads for up to 22 months, 40% of which are new.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003e\u003cmeta charset=\"utf-8\"\u003e\"94 Points. Matured 20 months in French and American hogsheads (40% new). Springflat is the producer's only wine released every vintage since the first in 1991. It's a wine that remains true through the years: super ripe and generous, warm and welcoming and with sweeping tannins to signify both seriousness and potential for further ageing. Concentrated, dense and rich in ripe blackberry, cassis, dark plum fruits, chocolate, fennel seed, cardamom, peppercorn, anise, coffee grounds and earth. Lush and viscous in sinewy, savoury tannins.
