The 2022 Leeuwin Estate Prelude Cabernet Sauvignon is a beautifully approachable, elegant style of Margaret River Cabernet. Fragrant and pretty on the nose, the palate has layers of blackcurrant, blueberries and cherry, subtle oak and lively thread of fresh acid throughout. Balanced and poised, this is a sensational Cabernet for the short to medium term.
"95 Points. Just lovely Margaret River cabernet aromas and flavours abound. Textbook stuff, quality wine with the fruit infused with cedary, spicy oak, menthol, a hint of chocolate and bay leaves. It’s flavoursome, fuller bodied but not at all heavy, with an abundance of ripe, supple tannins and fine acidity. All things considered, including the price, this is a steal. 13.5% alc.
