Wild Duck Creek is a highly acclaimed, family-owned and operated winery in Victoria's Heathcote wine region. Founded by winemaker David 'Duck' Anderson in the late 1970's, Wild Duck Creek received international attention when their 1997 'Duck Muck' was awarded a 99 point review by American wine critic Robert Parker. This Parker review propelled Wild Duck Creek on to the world stage, while also significantly raising the profile of the Heathcote wine region.
Wild Duck Creek's Yellow Hammer Hill Shiraz Malbec is "a wine made for pure enjoyment", with the 2023 vintage a blend of Shiraz, Malbec and a small amount of Cabernet Sauvignon. A wine of vibrancy and freshness, this delivers loads of red fruits, raspberry, blackcurrant and plum flavours with some subtle meaty notes spice.
