As the site of the first grape plantings in Western Australia's Great Southern region, Forest Hill is one of the pioneers of cool-climate winemaking in WA. The Forest Hill Vineyard Gewurztraminer is made from grapes grown on their Mount Barker Block 4 vineyard, which was planted in 1978.
An impressive local example, the 2024 Forest Hill Vineyard Estate Gewürztraminer has vibrant lifted aromas of guava, white flower with spice and ginger. The palate delivers impressive intensity of flavour; fresh stone fruit, lychee and ginger. Fleshy, vibrant and some nice texture, this has a lively line of natural acidity running through it.
