Paringa Estate is one of the jewels of Victoria's Mornington Peninsula wine region, consistently making some of the nation's leading examples of Pinot Noir, Shiraz and Chardonnay. The first plantings took place in 1985, following the purchase of a derelict orchard on Paringa Road.
Paringa Estate's 2021 'Estate' Pinot Noir is another sublime example of Mornington Peninsula Pinot Noir that is sure to attract plenty of attention. The nose is complex and perfumed with aromas of dark cherries, strawberry and a touch of spice. The palate has a luscious core of dark cherry fruit, firm tannins, and a long savoury finish. The impressive structure of this wine will ensure considerable longevity.
"95 Points. Quite some perfume here, dried roses, aniseed and mint, spiced strawberry and red cherry. It’s medium-bodied (and only just), has plenty of red fruit, but also a pleasing blood orange and amaro tang, tannin is fine with a pumice stone feel, there’s a quiet succulence, but also a firm acid line, which carries on to a sappy and white peppery finish of excellent length. It’s bony and brisk, but absolutely delicious and individual. I like it a whole lot. Tasted: Sep23 13% alc. $70 Screwcap Drink: 2023 - 2032+"- Gary Walsh, The Wine Front.
