New Vintage
One of the Barossa Valley's finest wineries, Turkey Flat have been in recent red hot form even by their lofty standards. While Turkey Flat is renowned for their red wines, their Barossa Valley White is fast gaining a big following.
The 2023 Turkey Flat Barossa White is a Rhone-style blend of Marsanne, Viognier and Roussanne, sourced from Turkey Flat's Bethany and Stonewell vineyards in the Barossa. It sees a spectrum of vinification including while bunch pressing, extended skin contact and partial new oak maturation.
Rich and multi-layered on the nose with honeydew and fresh citrus combining beautifully with hints of creamy nougat, gun smoke and ginger spice. The palate is full of tension, with stone fruit and lemon cured hemmed in by a tight acid drive and long textured finish.
"93 Points. Delightfully complex and inviting, the bouquet shows ripe peach, rockmelon, fig and lemon peel aromas with a hint of vanilla. The palate displays excellent weight and fleshy texture, beautifully framed by creamy mouthfeel and bright acidity, finishing long and flavoursome. A blend of Marsanne, Viognier & Roussanne. At its best: now to 2029."- Sam Kim, Wine Orbit.
