96 Points | Gold Medal - 2022 Royal Adelaide Wine Show
Majella's The Musician has established itself as one of Australia's most popular red wines, always delivering a great example of the classic Aussie blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz. This latest release has been widely acclaimed on the wine show circuit, including picking up top Gold Medal (96 Points) at the 2022 Royal Adelaide Wine Show.
A blend of Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon (69%) and Shiraz (31%), the 2021 Majella The Musician is a typically full-flavoured red wine with wide appeal. Packed with plenty of delicious blackcurrant, plum and raspberry flavours along with a nice touch of savoury tannin, this is another super value offering from Majella.
"The fresh plum, dark berry and blackcurrant aromas are captivating, and carry a mere suggestion of oak comfortably. Palate-wise this wine is beautifully balanced, the fine, soft tannins merging perfectly with the opulent fruit. ($19.00) ★★★★★"- Winewise, May 2024.
"92 Points. 69/31% cabernet/ shiraz. This wine always delivers an even, satisfying flow of currant and plum flavours, and it's on good form again here. Cabernet's leafy persona is clearly evident but then, so too is the cuddliness of shiraz. The dryness of the finish is noteworthy as well; everything here is in good shape. 14.5% alc. Drink by: 2030.
