Established in 1970 on a north-facing slope overlooking the Yarra Valley in Gruyere, Warramate has been one of the region's standout producers. Having long shared a direct border with Yarra Yering, Warramate was acquired by its iconic neighbour in 2011.
Under the acclaimed winemaking team at Yarra Yering led by Sarah Crowe, Warramate continues to make exceptional regional expressions from their hand-tended vines. A consistent standout in the Warramate range, the 2024 Warramate Estate Chardonnay is made from low-yielding old vines, from a blend of clones across the estate.
A vibrant Yarra Chardonnay, this opens with fragrant aromas of citrus blossom, stone fruits and white nectarine. The palate offers generous stone fruit flavours with bright grapefruit acidity and well-integrated French oak with a hint of roasted cashew. Beautifully balanced with a lovely structure, it delivers exceptional value for money at this discounted price.
