Trophy 'Wine of Show' - 2024 Sydney Royal Wine Show
Planted by Fred Peacock in 1990, the Bream Creek vineyard has a long held reputation as one of the finest vineyard sites in Eastern Tasmania. With mature vines and low yields, Bream Creek's wines always deliver excellent concentration, length and sublime structure.
Crafted in the classic bold style of Bream Creek, the 2023 Bream Creek Pinot Noir offers another impressive Tasmanian Pinot Noir experience. Boasting a sophisticated nose of dark cherry, plum red spices, the palate is intense with black and red cherries and raspberry flavour. Finishing long with nice subtle tannin, this is a Pinot Noir that should drink beautifully over the next 5 to 10 years.
"93+ Points. I only recently reviewed the 2022 Bream Creek Pinot Noir, and I can say that this 2023 is a much finer iteration of this wine. Cherry, raspberry, kind of succulent, but fresh too, with some spice, perfume, and quiet autumnal notes. It’s medium-bodied, plenty of juicy cherry and raspberry flavour, spiced plum, a pleasing sort of floral mouth-perfume, fine-grained tannin, and a finish of very good length, a little twist of orange peel bitterness to close. I can’t quite decide on 93 or 94 points, but either way, it’s a strong vintage for this wine. 93+ Points Tasted: Apr24 14% alc. $45 Screwcap Drink: 2024 - 2030+"- Gary Walsh, The Wine Front.
