A pioneer of Margaret River wine, Cullen continues to produce some of the region's finest wines from their mature estate vineyards. Under the guidance of Chief Winemaker Vanya Cullen, all wines are grown on a certified biodynamic, organic, carbon neutral and naturally powered estate.
Sometime referred to as the junior Diana Madeline, the 2024 Cullen Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot is a blend of 87% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Merlot, with has created a wine of great depth supported by delicious fine-grained tannins. It displays densely flavoured ripe dark fruits complemented by subtle fine-grained tannins; top-class Margaret River Cabernet at a sensational price.
"94 Points. A very purple tasting wine here with a mix of blue and black fruits, pimento/capsicum, baking spice, dried roses, and something a bit ferrous. It’s medium-bodied, but quite thick and chewy, not polished up too much, and also has some bitter dark chocolate in the mix, blackcurrant, dried herbs, balanced acidity, and a finishes with some roast red capsicum and a fair bit of perfume.
