Longview is a stunning family owned vineyard located just outside the historic township of Macclesfield in the Adelaide Hills. Set on undulating slopes reminiscent of classic old world estates, it is now one of the most consistent producers in the acclaimed region. Longview’s 'Queenie' Pinot Grigio has quickly established itself as one of Australia's most popular examples of this variety.
The 2024 Longview Queenie Pinot Grigio is another vibrant and aromatic example with pear, orange blossom and quince notes leaping out of the glass. The palate shows lovely structure with apple, nashi pear and lemon zest flavours supported by a nice line of natural acidity. Another sensational Pinot Grigio from Longview that is destined to again be hugely popular.
"The first job of Pinot Grigio is to be refreshing. Tick. The second is to have some texture. Tick. Here we have a bright and crunchy wine featuring green pear, a light floral character, and some almonds, with a good finish featuring a little spray of green herbs and gentle bitterness to close. Nice. 91 Points. Tasted: Nov24 12% alc. $27. Screwcap. Drink: 2024 - 2026"- Gary Walsh, The Wine Front.
