JJ Hahn is a joint venture between sixth generation Hahn custodians, James and Jacqui Hahn, and the highly regarded Rolf Binder who is responsible for all winemaking duties.
This Homestead Cabernet Sauvignon from JJ Hahn has been a long time favourite of ours and the 2022 vintage is again in fine form. This offers up typically full-bodied Barossa characters of dark berries, bitter chocolate, mulberry, plum pudding and sweet spice. A Barossa red of enormous appeal, this once again highlights how good Barossa Cabernet can be when in the right hands.
"93 Points. Western Ridge cabernet sauvignon matured in French and American oak. Deep crimson with aromas of deep blackberry, blackcurrant and black cherry with hints of fine spice, cassis, earth, licorice, dried herbs, cedar and vanillin. Plush fruit flow on the palate with ripe fruit, compact fine tannins and a seam of fresh acidity driving the wine along nicely. $35. 14.5% alc. Drink: 2023 - 2035"- Dave Brookes, winecompanion.com.au.
