Bannockburn Vineyards was established by the late Stuart Hooper in 1974; his vision was to create a vineyard which would produce Australian wine of a quality to emulate the great wines of France, in particular top-line Burgundies.
Bannockburn's 1314 range of wines have proved enormously popular over the past decade, with this 2025 Bannockburn 1314 Rosé the latest impressive release. Made using a blend of estate-grown Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Shiraz, this is immediately appealing with scents of red florals, sweet summer berries and a distinctive savoury edge. Fleshy and full, the textured palate is filled with crunchy fresh fruit, wet pebble and lively acidity, combining to deliver an all-round delicious Rosé.
"94 Points. A blend of estate cabernet sauvignon/merlot/shiraz. A light, bright salmon. Subtle aromas of red berries, tangerines and spice lead onto the palate, which is dry, moreish and nicely persistent. A well-crafted wine to have in the fridge and ready to go this summer! Screwcap. 12.5% alc. Drink: 2025 - 2028. $27"- Philip Rich, Halliday Wine Companion.
