"This really is a super value-for-money chardonnay from a season that’s turned out pretty well for this variety. It was fermented and matured in French oak for about eight months and certainly picked up some lovely characters. On the nose, there’s a light fig and lemon combination, with a touch of quince paste, and then a distinctly mineral, savoury palate lifted with some nice crunchy apple and melony notes.
