94 Points - Campbell Mattinson
The Voyager Estate Chenin Blanc vines are some of the original Estate vines planted in Margaret River in 1978. As a result of their age and Voyager Estate's viticultural practices, they consistently produce some of Australia's finest Chenin Blanc grapes.
As is typical of Voyager Chenin Blanc, the 2024 vintage is produced in an early drinking, soft tropical fruit style with great intensity of fruit flavours, balanced by fresh acidity and a hint of sweetness. Tropical fruit flavours of guava and melon with elements of citrus and red apple create a fruit salad style palate. The wine displays some nice fruit weight and texture with an attractive sweetness balanced with fresh natural acidity.
"94 Points. This release has tightness, and structure. It has excellent flavour: nashi pear and apple, some toastiness, some grass, reduction and flint. It also has a quartz-like aspect to the finish, which feels quite something. There’s grip to this. There’s finish. There’s detail. There’s a lot going on in this wine and yet, courtesy of its cohesion, you barely notice. In short, it’s a gold medal chenin for me. 13% alc. Drink 2024-2028+" - Campbell Mattinson. The Wine Front
