94 Points - Gary Walsh
Always one of the most popular Margaret River Cabernet releases, Domaine Naturaliste's Rebus always delivers a generously weighted yet approachable Margaret River Cabernet. Recent previous vintages of Domaine Naturaliste Rebus Cabernet Sauvignon have attracted plenty of accolades and attention.
The 2023 Domaine Naturaliste Rebus Cabernet Sauvignon is another stunning release from winemaking maestro Bruce Dukes. Opening with beautiful aromatics, this is packed with loads of blackberry, redcurrant, milk chocolate and plum flavours. Impeccably structured, with quality oak and subtle tannins, this is another impressive release that will once again prove hugely popular.
"94 Points. The quality of the fruit here is excellent, and it really pops with bright blue and purple crushed grapes, sports a bit of coffee barrel char and reduction as at now, but if you look past that there’s quite some perfume, aromatic spice, black olive, and very good structure. It has some chew to tannin, and offers freshness and a vibrant character, and the finish is long and firm. Give it a year or two in the cellar, and I’m sure you’ll be well rewarded. Tasted: Nov24 14% alc. $41 Screwcap Drink: 2026 - 2037+"- Gary Walsh, The Wine Front.
"93 Points. So you want to know how good 2023 was for red wines in Margaret River? Well, check this thoroughly engaging pure vibrant fruit-dominant Cabernet. Bursting with punchy red fruits with overtones of violet and cherry. The palate is medium-bodied with a seamless oak and fruit integration. Just a beautiful wine for drinking in the short term. $39"- Ray Jordan, rayjordanwine.com.au.
